Junior School Learning Diversity Teacher
The Learning Diversity teacher supports the individual learning needs of students identified with specific learning requirements. They work with students from years Prep to Year 6 and provide advice to teachers about how to best support these students.
The Learning Diversity teacher is responsible to the Head of Junior School. They also work closely with the classroom teachers, specialist teachers and Learning Assistants about student needs. Learning support is provided through withdrawal in small groups or one-to-one.
The Learning Diversity teacher recognises learning differences, collaborates with teachers to differentiate learning for students across all subjects and enhances communication between students, parents, teachers and pastoral staff. The Learning Diversity teacher supports classroom teachers to write Individual Education Plans.
