The SIS Teen Chef competition was held on Monday 7 August 2017.
BGS sent four aspiring young cooks from Year 9 to test their skills in a MasterChef inspired cooking contest. The Mains team produced a delicious plate of curry, roti and popcorn chicken. The judges commented that the dish had a delicate balance of flavours, and chicken which was tender on the inside with a crispy coating. The Dessert team created a medley of lemon based pastries, arranged delicately with edible flowers for garnish. The boys achieved a bronze medal for their performance on the day, and in the words of one of the judges, ‘they should be very proud of what they achieved.’
