Year 10 Road Smart

With the alarming statistics of young male drivers and accidents, nothing is more important that ensuring our boys are safe and informed about good driving practice as they proceed through the senior school.

Friday 9 August saw the Year 10 boys travelling to Sandown to participate in the VicRoads Road Smart program. This is a program that targets learning and beginner drivers to make them more road smart as they start learning to drive. They already had an in-class session on the things to be aware of when driving. This day was the opportunity for them to get behind the wheel of a car and drive under instructor supervision. For many it was their first time driving – a time of excitement measured by the serious nature of the content presented.

The instructors were very glowing about the behaviour and manners of the BGS students and the way the students conducted themselves.
