SRC Pat Cronin Free Dress Day

On the final day of school, the SRC has a tradition of running a free dress day for a good cause.

One of our key organisations we are supporting this year is the Pat Cronin Foundation, which aims to raise awareness and eliminate the coward punch.

Year 11 Leader Kurt Caddy spoke at assembly on the second last day of term, reminding us of the power of this cause, and the senselessness of the many deaths that have occurred, especially that of young Pat.  Pat was a solid young man – a good friend and a keen footballer.  He was struck from behind attempting to stop a friend from a vicious attack – he never knew what happened to him.

This is a cause close to the hearts of the boys of Berwick Grammar, who raised over $200 dollars during this particular fundraiser.  Our next fundraiser for Pat Cronin will be a barbecue on Athletics Day.
