Preparing for NZ Exchange

We are now just a few weeks away from hosting the boys of Scots College New Zealand here at Berwick Grammar School.

International exchange provides a tremendous opportunity for our students, and is a part of our commitment to being a global school. Our country environment, with kookaburras, gum trees and even the occasional kangaroo will no doubt be a delight to these boys.

Whilst in Melbourne, our New Zealand exchange students will attend Year 9 classes, as well as get a taste of authentic Australia by going on outings both to Melbourne and country Victoria.  The boys also have the opportunity to take part in the Year 9 Alpine Endeavour, a physically challenging and powerful experience that helps our students develop leadership, resilience and determination.

If you see the boys in their Scots College uniforms, please ensure you say hello and welcome them.

Our boys who will soon be making their way to Wellington for their own visit. Pictured here is Kyle Chipperfield, the second boy in his family to take part in this exchange.  It takes courage to leave the warmth and safety of our families behind to live with another family for a month, but a spirit of adventure is clearly evident in these outstanding students.
