House Cross Country

The 2018 Berwick Grammar School House Cross Country was held on Tuesday 8 May at Toomuc Reserve in Pakenham and was a great afternoon that showcased some very speedy athletes over both the 3 km and 4 km courses.

Congratulations to the following boys who crossed the line first in their respective age groups:

Under 13: Thomas Anderson (Battye)
Under 14: Sam Houghton (Richards)
Under 15: Caydn Lane (Battye)
Under 16: Zac Van Den Berghe (Battye)
Under 17: Mason Bursill (Battye)
Open: Aidan Ferreira (Richards)

Although Battye House had the most athletes crossing the line first in each age group, Richards dominated the competition earning 378 points due to having more runners cross the line in the top 10 than any other House.

Forsyth came in second place with 207 points and Battye finished third with 167 points.

Congratulations to all participants who will receive points that will contribute to achieving House Colours and to the top 10 athletes in each age group that will be selected to compete at the SIS Cross Country on Tuesday 22 May.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff who played a part in allowing the event to run smoothly, particularly

Mr Bruton, Mr Simpson, Miss Rabl and the House Convenors.
