End of Year – BGS Students Excel

The end of the year is nigh, and our senior students are finishing exams and undertaking special programs before Flying Start begins, where they get a taste of Year 12 life.

However, some of our boys are missing Flying Start and instead will be in the National and International Spotlight.

Firstly, our Senior Basketball Team will shortly be representing us at the All Schools National Basketball Competition, chasing that elusive win after several incredibly impressive performances including Runners Up.  Perhaps 2020 will be the year coach Darragh Howard seizes the trophy with his fine-tuned team.

And secondly, three of our 2020 Year 12 students are off to France to improve their language studies and understanding of the world around them.  2020 School Captains Oliver Ward and Navaal Saeed with by joined by Performing Arts Captain Ned Matin to undertake a French homestay which will greatly assist them as they undertake VCE French next year.

Congratulations to all these boys on these excellent achievements.

It was also wonderful to see all these boys attend catch up sessions, delivered by staff in their spare periods, to ensure they are well-prepared for missed lessons and the year ahead.  Here are several of the boys working with Mr Bourke, ensuring they are up-to-date with Chemistry before they leave.
