Australian Open Experience

On the summer school holiday break, Caydn Lane (Year 9), Will Hutcheon (Year 8) and myself took part in a once in a lifetime opportunity when we were selected for the Australian Open Ballkids program.

We went through the first and second round trails that started with 2500 kids applying to the final cut to 380, which we made. It is the best thing we have ever done!

Just being there in general was amazing, together with the atmosphere as well, was great. The three of us learned many things along the way, like respect to people and communication skills. The greatest thing of my life and the best experience was just being on Rod Laver Arena and ballkidding for Roger Federer, Angelique Kerber and Venus Williams.
