ANZAC Assembly

I would like to acknowledge and congratulate all our Year 4 students and their teachers, Mrs Tracey Hallam and Ms Allison McEneaney, for the sombre and reverent ANZAC assembly on Monday. The students conducted a lot of intense research and even visited the St Margaret’s archives to write about the ANZACs and especially St Margaret’s fascinating involvement as a haven during World War 2.

Did you know that our students used to ‘man’ a listening station on the school grounds that listened into Japanese broadcasts or that staff were enemy airplane spotters? I have no doubt that the students learnt a great deal about our history during this process; the way in which each child conducted themselves during this special assembly is to be admired. Thank you to all Year 4 students and staff.
