History

Berwick Grammar School (BGS), brother school to St Margaret’s opened its doors to its first intake of young men from Year 5, 6 and 7 in 2009.

The vision of St Margaret’s was to provide a quality education, for all members of the family from ELC to Year 12. With the opening of Berwick Grammar School this vision has been achieved and boys can now benefit from the values and quality education of a St Margaret’s School at their own purpose built site, on 20 acres in Tivendale Road Officer.

The task of creating a school for boys and taking it from a dream to reality has been an interesting and exciting journey. The selection of land and the building process was chosen to allow space for the boys to move and to grow with extensive provision for sporting facilities. The large site also allows room for new innovations in building and education as they become apparent in the future.

At present the following buildings are operational: Administration and Library, Middle School, Senior School, Art and Design Technology Centre, Science laboratories, the Junior Wing and Performance Centre which houses Music and Physical Education.
