Welcome back to all existing school families and a warm welcome to those new to our school community. With the start of a new year comes the anticipation of a new beginning. Having held this position for two weeks now, I feel the anxiety that comes with any new venture, the self-doubt and myriad of questions that often floods one’s mind. With each day I gain confidence that I am on the right track. Supported by those around me, well equipped with clear goals and a willingness to ask many questions. I am relying on the experience I have that has brought me to this point in time. I am gaining insight and feel proud.
Similar could be said of our girls; doubt sets in with an increased difficulty in content, perhaps an entirely new environment but like me, they need to believe in the support around them, the clear attainable goals presented and they must must ask lots of questions. Remind your daughters that they are well equipped to strive for excellence all they need now is self- belief.
I hope 2019 sees us grow, united in our values of Curiosity, Courage, Good Character and Respect.
