St Margaret’s ‘Team Groovy’ competed at the School Aerobics State Championships in Geelong on Saturday 1 June. The team includes Tahli Chandler, Alexandra Duhau, Ashlee Duhau, Matisse Mernard, Tarushi Rajapaksa and Kelly Yang.
The girls finished in first place with a score of 79 points. This result qualifies them for the National Championships to be held in Gold Coast in August.
The girls are to be commended for the time and effort they have put in behind the scenes to be able to perform a routine with such vivacity.
Congratulations also to Ashlee Duhau for winning her Audition section and coming second in her Solo section.
This is an outstanding achievement from both an individual perspective and team perspective. Well done girls!
Katie Martin, the coach of the team, has worked diligently with the girls at training and at competition. And we thank her for her significant contribution to the team’s success.
