The St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School community united together to participate in the 2015 Casey Relay for Life last weekend. With over 200 registered people and it was heart-warming to see so many additional families come along and register over the two day event. Our school team walked proudly and supported each other during the 24 hours. A special thank you to the team who continued to walk throughout the night and into the early hours of Saturday morning. It was very cold and your team spirit and determination to keep walking were amazing. We all shared lots of laughs and each of us had our own story to share as to why it was important to be involved. Whilst it is a community event, our school clearly demonstrated true compassion, friendship and respect for each other.
Special thanks to our maintenance team with the help from our parents who did a wonderful job setting up on Friday afternoon and helping to pack away on Saturday afternoon. The food and drink provided by everyone, including our Parents’ and Friends’ Association was also appreciated and helped to keep our energy levels up.
Well done on a wonderful team effort whilst supporting a most worthy cause.
