On the 21 June, the Year 5 and 6 boys set off to Berwick Grammar School to participate in a transition activity day. They sampled some of the fantastic activities and resources, exclusive to the boys’ school, and participated in Robotics programming with Ms Fortington, a Design Technology activity with Mr Tchapkanski and a Sport activity with Mr Chittenden and the Year 9 Elite Sport boys. Students also enjoyed attending the Colours Awards Assembly as special guests, and mingling with the senior boys during recess and lunchtime.
During recess, the boys chatted with Dr Steven Middleton, Head of Berwick Grammar School and during their lunch break, Mr Lardner provided them with an opportunity to experience HPV (Human Powered Vehicles).
As a momento of their day, the students all received specially designed USB bracelets, which created some excitement.
The Year 5 and 6 men from St Margaret’s School left with a great idea of the exciting opportunities that await them at Berwick Grammar School, and will no doubt have fond memories of the day.
