Year 12 Schoolies keeping safe!

Year 12 Schoolies keeping safe!

With the end of their formal schooling fast approaching for our current Year 12 students, we welcomed our local community policing member Leading Constable Sharon Patterson to the school to speak with the boys about safe partying.

Sharon spoke with the year level about ensuring they have a plan to get home safely, having a designated responsible person each time they go out, being aware of the accommodation details where they are staying and ensuring that their friends both males and females stay together in groups- not randomly leave the group by themselves. Sharon discussed the dangers of party drugs, drink spiking and drunken violence and stressed the importance of being aware of their surroundings when going out to enjoy your night.

“ Today was valuable in giving us some more guidance, advice and tips on how to stay safe when we are celebrating the end of school” Ben
