The Unit 3 and 4 Geography students attended a field-trip around the Officer precinct of Cardinia Shire as part of their VCE studies. Included in the trip was a visit to the Cardinia Shire Council Offices to be addressed by Council Planning Officers and mapping experts on present and future developments in the Officer precinct.
The trip also included a visit to Grand Vue Estate, Timbertop Estate and Arena Shopping Centre to study housing and commercial development; and Gum Scrub Creek to view environmental issues. The school has established a wonderful relationship with Cardinia Shire Council and this is an invaluable resource for Geography students at all levels attending Berwick Grammar School.
