RACV Energy Breakthrough

RACV Energy Breakthrough

A selection of Berwick Grammar School boys recently participated in the RACV Energy Breakthrough.

The senior team of Lachlan Hall, Rylan Hall, Lachlan Clarke, Sam Clarke, David Somers, Max Blackwood, Max Terlato and Eric Horton participated in the 24hr event and finished a very deserving 4th place in the event. They rode 1 hour stints in very hot conditions during the afternoon, however, relief came during the night session which made for some very quick times. This was the final event in which Lachlan Hall, Lachlan Clarke, Sam Clarke, Eric Horton and Max Terlato represented the school. They have been an integral part of the HPV squad over the years and we wish them well for their future endeavours.

BGS boys were represented right throughout the 8 teams participating at the RACV Energy Breakthrough for St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School. Our junior boys had heaps of fun participating in the Try-Athlon event, which consists of an obstacle course, a time trial and an 8 hour endurance event.
Our Year 7 and 8 team, riding Chrys, made up of both girls and boys, completed the event and performed above expectations.

It was a wonderful event for the SMS BGS HPV squad, with all teams entered finishing no worse than 5th in their respective categories. Well done all!
