Life Skills Endeavour

Life Skills Endeavour

During Year 9 Endeavour the boys have been exploring all manner of life skills.

To date this semester the boys that have not been on community service have been looking at:

What it means to be mentally healthy including having a go at yoga! It was probably the noisiest yoga class I have ever done but seemed to hit the right note with the boys.

What makes a good role model and the benefits of having a good role model.

Exam preparation skills.

The power of a positive mindset which came in handy when meeting the challenges of Alpine Camp.

More recently the boys learnt the all-important life skills of how to tie a Double Windsor tie knot, to iron a shirt and to sew a button on a shirt. The concentration was intense and the opportunity to learn these skills was very well received. We even had some Year 11 students curiously looking in and keen to have a go. Looks like we need to extend the opportunity!
