Year 9 City Cite

For the last two weeks the Year 9 cohort began the Endeavour Program by participating in the City Cite Endeavour.

Students travelled via public transport to and from the City visiting places including Parliament House, The Shrine of Remembrance, The Magistrate’s Court and playing a part in helping those less fortunate by preparing, cooking and packing over 1000 meals at FareShare.

Students also worked on a research project relating to the City of Melbourne. This was a tremendous experience and a fantastic opportunity for our boys to learn more about the most liveable City in the World.

‘I thought the experience was an adventure to remember. It was great having the knowledge to find my way around Melbourne and learn how assessable everything is. The freedom was the best part.’  Ben S

‘It was great to meet new people, hear from presenters about their life stories and to explore our Big Question topic.’ Connor

‘City Cite was amazing. Knowing that I had independence and the ability to make my own choices made the experience more meaningful. Visiting the Shrine as an enlightening experience.’ Matt

‘I enjoyed City Cite because of the independence and the food we could buy for lunch. The heritage walk was interesting as we learnt about the local aboriginal culture.’ Chris
