Year 8 Camp – Wilsons Promontory

Our Year 8 girls spent an adventurous few days down at the beautiful Wilsons Promontory as part of their Outdoor Education this year. The trip was to involve some hiking, an overnight bush camp, surfing, canoeing, an environmental Ranger session and some initiative games. Due to some warm days and extreme winds, the program had to be altered and unfortunately not all the activities could be completed by all groups. The camp ended up being a testament to the fantastic resilience and adaptability of our St Margaret’s girls. The hikes out to Sealers Cove and Oberon Bay were undoubtedly the biggest challenge and also the highlight for many and as camps should be, it was an opportunity to spend time getting to know others in the year level more closely and to expand the boundaries of our capabilities.
