Year 7 Waratah Bay Camp

On 12 February, the young men of Year 7 set off to Waratah Bay to strengthen existing friendships, and forge new ones. The students participated in mountain bike riding, hiking and beach initiative activities, just to name a few. Sleeping in tents was a new experience for many of the boys, but in impressive fashion, they embraced this challenge. Although the sons of Berwick Grammar School returned home exhausted, they had great stories to tell. The camp experience was fantastic and I was very proud of how our young men not only conducted themselves, but also gave everything a go.

With the primary focus being on leadership for the week, what was most impressive was the way many found new leadership skills that they did not know they had! These young men are now a more unified group, and the experience has gone a long way towards growing good young men at BGS.
