Year 12 Final Assemblies – Farewell Class of 2019

We have now begun the process of farewelling our wonderful Class of 2019 – a group of boys known for their spirit of togetherness and mateship.

In the final week of Term 3, we had our final Colours Assembly where boys were awards Sports, House and Service Colours in recognition of their contribution to the school.  This was a formal occasion – whereas in the first week of Term 4, the boys ran their own farewell assembly with an informal feel.  Although Mrs McDonald presented the dux of each subject with a certificate of recognition, the spirit of the rest of the assembly was light-hearted.

Dr Middleton amused all as usual with his farewell speech, whilst also encouraging the boys to take every opportunity available to them.

School Captains Matthew Kent and Darcy Dillon constructed a Kahoot to quiz the school on how well they knew the teachers as well as their school history, with some surprising results.

The assembly ended with a charmingly unrehearsed rendition of Happy Birthday to Chinese teacher Ms Li by any boy willing to pick up an instrument.
