Upper House Winter Sport

On 17 May, all girls from Year 10 to 12 participated in the 2017 Upper House Winter Sport Competition in Soccer, Netball or Volleyball.

The Netball competition was closely contested with Campbell the champions. The Volleyball tournament was even closer, with two Houses tied at the end of competition. The eventual winner was Campbell. Soccer saw a strong win to Cunningham, winning both of their games. The overall winner on the day was Campbell, with Cunningham second and Gipson third. All girls from all teams demonstrated fantastic House spirit and competed with the excellent sportsmanship that we would expect from our girls.

A big thank you to Brielle Shiels, our AFL trainee, for her organisation of an exceptionally well run carnival and also to the staff who helped out on the day.

Our attention now turns to Middle School Winter Sports and then finally the House Athletics Carnival in the last week of term. All girls are encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities available to prepare for the Aths carnival as it approaches, particularly through involvement in Runners Club on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
