Student Exchange

Some may have noticed different uniforms being worn by students attending St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School in recent days. We have been host to three adventurous students from York, England, engaged in our student exchange program. These students have experience our wonderful community through attending classes, participating in a variety of activities and living with the family of their exchange partners.

We have will also welcomed 40 students from our partner schools in China. The senior students from Xuejun High School in Hangzhou were hosted by generous families and provided the opportunity for students who travelled to China during our Term 1 break to reconnect, build on their new friendships and reciprocate the generosity their school community showed our tour group. We were also visited by an enthusiastic group of Year 7 & 8 students from Wenzhou Experimental Middle School as part of their English language study tour. Several of the Wenzhou students have been participating in a pen pal program with our students and it was exciting for students from both school to finally meet each other and put a face to a name.

Connecting with students from different countries and welcoming them into our school community in an enriching opportunity for all involved and we are extremely grateful for those who assist us in making this possible.
