SRC Fundraiser – Free Dress Day

On the last Friday of term, boys were invited to wear free dress in order to raise money for a cause the school is particularly passionate about – the Pat Cronin Foundation.

This is now the second year the Student Representative Council and Social Service Team has chosen the Pat Cronin Foundation as a key organization to raise funds and awareness for.  Pat was a young man on a night out, a softly spoken and gentle boy – except on the football field.  Pat was the victim of a ‘coward punch’ in the kind of incident that could happen to any of our boys at any time.  Pat died in hospital two days later.

We support the Pat Cronin Foundation in their aim to prevent further coward punch attacks through education, awareness and research.  Berwick Grammar School boys also pledge to treat others with kindness and respect.

On this occasion, we raised $185 for the Foundation, and will continue to have fundraisers and conversations throughout the year.
