SIS Art and Technology Exhibition

The diverse talents and interests of students of BGSl were strongly represented at the annual SIS Art and Technology Exhibition, which opened on Monday night at the Frankston Arts Centre. The exhibition included an impressive display of pieces from students in Year 7-12 across Art, Visual Communication Design, Media and Product Design and Technology.

Guest speaker Nathan Loutit from Swinburne’s Centre for Design Innovation was noticeably impressed by the high quality of the artworks on display and the innovation demonstrated in many of the design and furniture pieces. The event included performances from our talented Year 9 musicians whose contribution was recognised on the night.

This week Berwick Grammar School also hosted our first Senior Design and Media Exhibition, which showcased the work of many talented senior students across the three design subjects on offer. This exhibition focused on the folios and supporting work, and the significant amount of time and energy that goes into producing a finished piece of design. The work on display spanned across fields including architecture, film, logo design, advertising, furniture design, visual merchandising, character art, fashion design and product design. Clive Brace’s unique CNC machined dining table was a standout piece for many attendees.
