Relaunch of Theatre Sports club

On 18 May, the Berwick Grammar School TheatreSports Club relaunched for 2018. This initiative was begun by Jack Murray, our Year 12 Performing Arts Captain of 2017. After much success last year, the program has been revived by two of our student leaders, Ben Scarborough and Miller Marks-Boulton.

This excellent student led club will be held in the drama room, each Friday at lunchtime. Students can learn the art of improvisation from peers with performance experience, in the style of shows like Whose Line is it Anyway?

Many of the activities require those involved to exercise quick, critical thinking and stretch the limits of their creativity, as they are asked to act out roles and scenarios ranging from the mundane to the outlandish.

It is a place where the energy of a sports arena and the artistic value of a theatre meet. It is a relaxed environment where students can develop their confidence performing, and it also happens to be a lot of fun.

We are looking forward to seeing the continued growth of this program, under the careful direction of Ben and Miller.
