Parents’ and Friends’ successful start to 2016

The Parents’ and Friends’ Association has had a successful start to 2016 with an amazing St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School Twilight Fair, for which we are very thankful for the support of the school community. There were many people that contributed to the success of the Fair, either through attending meetings, donating goods and services, giving their time, enthusiasm, ideas and Community Spirit, and we are very thankful for this. There were many volunteers during the day and night that assisted with the set up and pack up of the event, our most heartfelt thanks to this group of volunteers and to the students, teachers, parents and friends, that rostered themselves on for their respective stalls and I am sure assisted elsewhere if required. This is a school community event and it was reflected in the community support that was evident over the last 6 months.

There are as always, other fundraising and social events that will be held throughout this year, please check bulletins and the Campus News section of the School website for updates of P and F events as well as the School Calendar on Parent lounge.

There will be a morning tea for Parents and Friends of the school, held on Friday 4 March, 8:00am – 9:30am at the SMS Lunchbox. Please come along and share a morning tea with old and new friends of the school community. The next Morning Tea will be held on Friday 11 March at BGS.

As time goes on, the P and F require new volunteers for the many activities and services that are provided to the School, some of which are:

• Volunteers required for SHUS, days and times negotiable
• Fair Coordinator
• Presentation Ball Helpers – July 2016
• Volunteer to coordinate the Vintage Clothing stall at the Fair

The P and F Association is a Volunteer group that works in a very supportive and social environment in order to provide fundraising and social opportunities for the School. Our role is supported by Volunteers, so please consider volunteering in any capacity that you can.
