Orientation Day Year 7 2018

On Tuesday 31 October, Berwick Grammar School welcomed their incoming Year 7 cohort for 2018. Some time to meet and greet each other quickly evolved in to an action packed day of learning about the school, its opportunities and self.

Boys worked in performing arts classes, demonstrating some flair with fun drama based games. They moved through to science with a multitude of practical experiments and ideas that they could engage with. A run in the middle of the day for sport, saw a complex game where the year level joined together as one to pitch their sporting prowess against each other. Boys also engaged in a geography based lesson where they followed an orienteering course to complete a map of the school complete with BOLTSS. The conclusion to the day was a special concert performance of the senior students demonstrating some of the musical options available to the incoming cohort and their own musings of their journey through secondary school.

The day was ably assisted by four current BGS Year 7 students, Sam, Ovin, Alex and Joshua who were inspirational leaders, ensuring that their groups were informed and engaged at all times, paving the way for a positive transition to Senior School at BGS for 2018.
