Head of Campus update – 27 October 2016

The school has been abuzz over the last few weeks as we have celebrated the educational journey and farewelled the Class of 2016. It was a culmination of years of hard work; the actualisation of goals attained and the acknowledgement of successes achieved. It provided us a chance to stop for a moment and reflect on the past and a chance to look towards the future. The Class of 2016 go with the aim to not only maintain the proud history our past students have created, but more importantly set about creating their own history, setting bench marks by living life to the full.

As I mentioned at our recent Speech Night which affords us the opportunity to come together as a community, where the bond between us is recognised, celebrated and reinforced. Upon reflection, it is discernible that 2016 has been a monumental year, and one filled with unique challenges and experiences. Steadfast, resolute and determined we have all kept together. Day-by-day we focused on our goals, keeping together and working together. We faced some incredible and memorable moments – moments that we chose to use as a stepping stone as we tenaciously pursued our common goals. I hope that you believe Berwick Grammar School is a special place, grateful to be a part of this community and confident that you have made the best decision in sending your children to this wonderful school.

As the Class of 2016 commence their VCE examinations this week, on behalf of the school community I wish them all the best of luck. I am confident, that all the years of hard work will be duly rewarded.

Mr Charles Swanepoel
Head of Berwick Grammar School
