Head of Campus Update – 18 August 2016

We are now officially half way through Term 3 and each week seems to fly by in a blur of wonderful experiences, opportunities and special events in the Junior School. The focus is always firmly on learning and ensuring our students are engaging and progressing within and across all areas of the curriculum. Our committed and professional team work hard to plan for a balanced approach that promotes the development of essential skills and understandings together with extending and encouraging those important attitudes and behaviours that make for a well-rounded, happy student.

So as well as our classroom programs and activities, many of our students have enjoyed a variety of excursions and incursions to support their units of inquiry. I was fortunate enough to join the Year 4s on their recent excursion to the Shrine and Melbourne Museum. Our Prep students have had a number of guest speakers present to them as part of their current unit, and our Year 3 and 4 students and teachers are making final preparations for their camp next week.

Special congratulations to our Allegro strings who performed superbly at the West Gippsland Eisteddfod last week. The feedback was wonderful and we were so proud of their involvement and participation.
