From the Principal

As the 2016 school year draws to a close, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to staff, volunteers and parents for all that has been achieved this year. St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School provides a strong and solid foundation for our students to learn and grow. Together we have also worked towards creating a welcoming and supportive environment that meets the diverse needs of all students and inspires each person to aim high and achieve their best. We also understand the importance for all students, parents and staff to have a strong and genuine connection and sense of belonging to St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School.

Our Parents and Friends committee is also to be congratulated for their hard work and commitment throughout this year. Together they have successfully organised events that have brought our school community together in fun and friendship whilst raising funds for new resources to enhance the learning of all students across the three campuses. Some of the purchases this year have included the new basketball towers, soccer nets, football goal posts and outdoor seating and settings in Junior School; outdoor settings, student couches and a shade umbrella and seating on the outdoor art deck for the girls in Senior School and student couches and outdoor furniture for the boys at BGS.

A sincere thank you to all our families and friends who have supported our social and fundraising events this year. Your contribution and involvement continues to make a positive difference.

I wish all school and community members a very happy and peaceful festive season and sincerely hope that 2017 is filled with lots of laughter, good health and memorable moments with the people we love and care about.

Best wishes everyone.
