Cultural Excursion

On August 1, the Year 8 Chinese class visited the Chinese Museum. The class collected information and completed a cultural assignment there. Students not only learned the history of Chinese Australians and how Chinese immigration has changed over the last 150 years, but also learned the difference between a Chinese dragon and Western dragon.

The Han Dynasty: Life Everlasting is a new exhibition. It is object-rich exhibition that offers a fascinating insight into a period that is considered a golden age in Chinese history, arts, politics and technology. With great interest, the students read the text panels and looked at the artifacts. They discovered some of the innovations of the period and the burial customs of the Han Dynasty.
