Chinese Reading Awards
On Friday 17 August, the Chinese Language and Teachers’ Association of Victoria held the 2018 Chinese Reading Awards. Nehara Peiris of Year 7 and Prianka Gengasuthan of Year 9 participated in the event. The level of competition was significantly higher than in previous years. Although they missed out on an award, they were very competitive. Their confidence and good pronunciation in speaking Chinese impressed the adjudicators and the large audience. It is very clear, that by preparing for the event, their Chinese language skills reached new heights.
