Chinese New Year
A Chinese delegation participating in an exchange program to Australia, visited Berwick Grammar School for a tour of the school and joined together with the Year 8 students during their Chinese lesson.
To embrace the Chinese New Year and Year of the Dog, students presented to the assembly on Thursday 15 February providing an insight into the historical traditions of the Chinese New Year and in particular, those traits associated with the Year of the Dog. Their group instruction on how to wish Happy New Year in Chinese, X?nnián kuàilè, pronounced, sshin-nyen kwhy-luh, was very successful.
