Careers Update

It’s been a busy and productive start to the school year in the Careers Centre at Berwick Grammar. Year 10 students have been finalising their Work Experience arrangement forms and completing their Safe@work modules. They will do further preparation over the coming weeks in their Futures class to ensure they are comfortable and have a clear understanding of the aims of work experience, the activities they need to complete to learn the most whilst with the employer, the importance of creating a professional network and the safety regulations governing the placement.

I look forward to meeting individually with the Year 12 students over the coming weeks to discuss with them their ideas for 2019 and beyond. Students who start researching early are in a key position to make sound choices for life beyond secondary school. I will be encouraging all students to make use of the VTAC website course search facility at http://delta.vtac.edu.au/CourseSearch/searchguide.htm

Students are encouraged to pop in to the Careers Centre if they have any questions or need work experience assistance.
