VCE Results

St Margaret's has an outstanding academic record at VCE level. Results are consistently well above state averages with excellent tertiary placements. Students have a wide variety of VCE subjects from which to choose and in the past several have been honored with Premier's Awards and perfect subject scores. Each year we consistently out perform other schools in Berwick and beyond. At St Margaret's we are experienced in girls' education in the senior years with our teachers highly qualified and totally dedicated to helping each student achieve their personal best.

2006 VCE Highlights

In our 80th year, strong VCE results are one tradition of which we are proud. In 2006, the tradition lives on with our students achieving excellent results in all areas of the curriculum. Our students remained focused on their goals and we are proud of the “personal best” achieved by each of them.

The class of 2006 has distinguished themselves through their academic pursuits and their service to others. Both the school and local community have benefited from the the leadership offered by the students. They have demonstrated the initiative, organization and drive to achieve their goals. They have been exceptional mentors and role models to the younger students and have developed relationships which span all ages and year levels.

A key relationship is that forged between student and teacher. Through mutual respect and understanding, the student and her teachers are on the learning journey together. Our teachers are experts in the process of learning and offer the individual guidance required for each student to achieve her best. The students are active participants in this process; accepting advice, taking risks and learning from their mistakes. In this safe and cooperative
environment, deep learning can take place and excellence achieved.
