Somers Early Learning Centre

The Somers Early Learning Centre caters for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 5 years of age.

Children attend a minimum of two days to up to five days per week. Emphasis is placed on providing a warm, caring environment in which students can flourish. The program is play-based and takes into account the needs and experiences of each child and develops these.

Classroom activities includes painting, construction, play dough, home corner play, dress ups, computers, listening posts, puppets and puzzles. Each week students participate in Music, PE and Library sessions with specialist teachers.

The curriculum is also complemented with varied excursions such as to a farm, airport, fire station or bakery and incursions including drama and movement workshops, or visits from vet, doctor, nurse or a member of the police force.
