Curriculum Overview
St Margaret's School has a strong and healthy reputation in the wider community based on its excellent performance as an educational institution and its warm, personal approach which encourages all students to achieve their best.
In this single gender learning environment, learning experiences are designed to respond specifically to the needs of girls. In the Senior School, the curriculum is based on the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) Framework. In Middle School (Years 7, 8 and 9), the curriculum is structured to provide a wide range of learning experiences in a variety of subject areas, providing a broad base of knowledge and skills. It also builds directly on the PYP experience of our Junior School. In Upper School (Years 10, 11 and 12), when students are ready for more choice and specialisation, the curriculum offers a wide range of elective choices.
At St Margaret's, dedicated staff take pride in their professionalism, working hard to provide a caring, challenging educational environment and an extensive, fulfilling academic program.
