St Margaret’s Music & Drama Centre is a state-of-the-art facility providing excellent teaching and rehearsal venues for students.
To compliment our renowned music program, one of the features of the SMS Music & Drama Centre is a rehearsal studio, used for Junior and Senior School orchestra, choirs and ensemble practices and Senior School classes. Senior students (Years 7-12) take advantage of the specialized facilities available including an upstairs teaching room and six instrumental music teaching rooms, while the Junior School (Pre-Prep to Year 6) enjoy a spacious purpose-built teaching room, on the lower level.
Within the Music & Drama Centre, the modern drama studio utilises an adaptable space, complete with lighting grids and audio facilities. The studio is available for classroom activities, performances and has a fully equipped costume and wardrobe department. Students involved in performing arts at SMS also have access to a workshop used for set design, stage make-up application and practical assessments.
