At St Margaret's we offer an exciting and broad program at every level from Pre-Prep through to Year 12. The aim is to encourage musical literacy and to facilitate an appreciation of fine music.

Performance is an integral component of the music program. The A Cappella and Junior Choirs, the Chamber Voices and the School Orchestras and Ensembles provide the opportunity for all students to share in the musical life of the school.

Instrumental music is offered at all levels as an optional extra. In addition there are Instrumental Programs in which students have free tuition for one term in either a string instrument in Year 2 or an orchestral instrument of their choice in Year 7.

Students also enjoy broader performance opportunities with local schools, regular community performances, musicals, concerts, workshops, eisteddfods and choir and orchestra tours undertaken overseas and locally.
