Scholarships - Dates and Information

St Margaret's School (SMS), one of Australia's leading non-denominational schools is offering a limited number of scholarships to new students of strong academic ability entering Year 7 2009.

Academic Scholarship
St Margaret's School participates in the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) SST academic scholarship testing program.

Terms and Conditions
Academic Scholarships are offered to selected students who demonstrate special abilities in a range of academic areas and show a willingness and ability to contribute to School life. Academic Scholarships provide up to 50% remission of tuition fees for the term of the Scholarship.

Year 7 is offered to the end of Year 12. (Scholarships are subject to annual review)

Applicants will be awarded an Academic Scholarship on the basis of results of the testing, most recent School report and an interview.

Details of Testing
If you are interested in having your child sit for an Academic Scholarship, please register by following the procedure outlined below, no later than 8.00am Monday 25th August 2008. Registrations received after this date will incur a late fee. A credit card is required for on-line Registration and payment.

The Scholarship examination will be held on Saturday 30th August 2008 at St Margaret's School beginning at 8.15am and finishing at approximately 12.00 noon. The scholarship application fee is $85.00.

Applicants will have immediate access via the ACER site.

Level 1- Year 7 2009
Designed for students in their final year of primary school during 2008, for entry into first year of secondary school (entry into year 7 in VIC, NSW, ACT, TAS or into year 8 in QLD, SA and WA) in 2009.
